Their unidentified host informs them, via a gramophone records, that as they have all been responsible for someone’s death, they in turn will die before the weekends is out. There is no way for any of them to flee the island, so they set about trying to determine who their hidden host might be and where he might be hiding ( Popular Indian Film Gumnaam (1965) is inspired by this film.

He attempts to build a career as an entertainer, but his professional ambitions ultimately come into conflict with the demands of his home and heritage.

The film tells the story of the Russian ship Prince Potemkin where a horribly bloody mutiny took place during the 1905 uprising. Eisenstein signals this as the jumping off point for the revolution.

However, it cemented Riefenstahl's status as a great filmmaker.

He embarks on a journey to find them and it lands him on a forbidden island. Once a school teacherv- now an old man, living in an old dingy japanese binker, reminiscing the bygone days and unfailingly conducting classes under a solitary tree talking to the moon and the ocean. An outstanding performance by Tom Alter, this film is one under-rated gem.

 

Best 5 films of Akira Kurosawa

Wong Kar-Wai's movie about two love-struck cops is filmed in impressionistic splashes of motion and color. The first half deals with Cop 223, who has broken up with his girlfriend of five years. He purchases a tin of pineapples with an expiration date of May 1 each day for a month. By the end of that time, he feels that he will either be rejoined with his love or that it too will have expired forever. The second half shows Cop 663 dealing with his breakup with his flight attendant girlfriend. He talks to his apartment furnishings until he meets a new girl at a local lunch counter.

Pierre Lachenay is a well-known publisher and lecturer, married with Franca and father of Sabine, around 10. He meets an air hostess, Nicole. They start a love affair, which Pierre is hiding, but he cannot stand staying away from her.

A story between a mole in the police department and an undercover cop. Their objectives are the same: to find out who is the mole, and who is the cop.
