    Woman of the Year (1942) is a romantic comedy in which an emancipated woman, chosen "Woman of the Year", and her colleague-turned-husband try to negotiate a path to marital bliss . The film stars Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn. The film won an Academy Award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay and was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In 1999, this film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
