    About Director: - Born in Tokyo, Kurosawa trained to be an artist before getting into cinema. It was his 12th film - Rashomon - that began his international acclaim with a Golden Lion at Venice and an Oscar nomination. Together with a faithful few like the actor Toshiro Mifune, Kurosawa made films like 'Seven Samurai', 'Throne of Blood', 'Yojimbo' and 'Dersu Uzala', deeply impacting the art and craft of cinema. His films have inspired countless others, including Hollywood hits like 'Magnificent Seven' and 'Star Wars'; and won almost every worthwhile cinema award in the world. Kurosawa was also awarded a lifetime achievement Oscar and France's highest honour: Legion d'Honneur
